I just had to share my story with you!!
Just wanted you to know, if there is any doubt as to the question, "Are there any Parties to be had out there?" The answer is YES! YES! YES! We just wrapped up the Canfield County Fair and personally have two new recruits that set their starter Parties, 1 for September and one for the first of November. I booked 21 new Parties in my date book. When the Penny Sale came on the Web, I printed it off and took it to the fair, and booked 4 Parties the last week of September because of that sale! Also, Russ and I got 4 Fundraisers, plus more I have to follow up on and get the details together. The Ohio Valley, like a lot of other places, has been hit hard with plant closings and dealing with the poor economy here; a perfect time to join H&GP and also book a Party so you can do your Christmas shopping free!! Russ and I are looking forward to this fall season and as you say, "THE BIG MO!" By the way, all the other Designers did extremely well with bookings, recruits and fundraisers. Bring it on!!!

I have never really been a strong booker at parties. I could usually average about 2 per party, which is great, but I always wanted more.
My last two parties now I have averaged about 5 parties each. Of course, I always hope that they want me as their Designer to come and do their parties but...I know it has a lot to do with the awesome booking gifts in our new catalog. For the first time since joining H&GP in August 04, my hostesses are actually begging their guests to book parties to get the Snowman/Pumpkin sign or the Prestige Seasonal Centerpiece!! It is a great feeling knowing we can offer them something so special.
My sales also have rocketed! The first of two parties from the new catalog was just over $1000 and my second one was $1464. The customers are loving the new products!
I have to admit that I was one of the Designers worried about whether or not I was going to make it with H&GP. My upline kept me strong, and said to hang in there because bigger and better things were coming our way. I am happy to say that I am so glad I stuck it out. If August is this awesome, I cannot wait to see how the rest of the year goes!
Thanks to everyone at H&GP for the awesome things they do for us Designers. I have to say that I am honored to belong to the H&GP family!!

I'm Lynn from Georgia and I just had to let you all know what an awesome time I had at my first Rally with H&GP. I went by myself but never felt alone! I met so many awesome people and to tell you the truth, I actually felt like I was at a family reunion! No matter what level you achieve, you are treated with respect and a courtesy we should all receive but rarely do. Home & Garden Party is far beyond what I could have imagined any company could be for their employees and customers.
But, if that wasn't enough, the training, giveaways, product displays, free products and the awards dinner is something everyone should experience. DON'T MISS IT NEXT YEAR, I WON'T!
I want to say a special thank you to my mother in H&GP, Christine Garris, for the encouragement and support she gives me and to the Home & Garden Party home office staff for a job well done at this year's rally. Because of them both, I can make my business work!

You are so correct, WE ARE BACK!!!...the feeling at my party last night was nearly identical to parties Steve and I held 8-9 years ago when we first started...the guests were excited, Treva and Steve were excited; the hostess was beyond excited when I calculated her hostess benefits last night. Steve and I remarked on our way home last night that this party reflected the way we felt coming home from parties way back in the beginning of our career with Home & Garden Party. It simply cannot help but put a smile on both of our faces to see the excitement back in our customers and hostesses. I give auction dollars for questions from our guests about our product or the company at the party. One guest asks, "How much money do you make doing this?" When I shared with her and the other guests our commission plan, her only comment was, "I need to talk to you tonight about doing this myself." Well, as you can imagine, I booked her right there on the spot (I am thinking "starter" party)...WOW, what a great experience...I wish every Designer in our company could feel this excitement; it would make them want to get up, GET BUSY and go back to work. I have another party this coming Saturday; can't wait to get there!

I don't want to be an “I” person and keep telling you what I have done. But I want to really stress to you to just GO FOR IT. This book is doing VERY well. But you have to show it. And if you really want to make the $$$ you need to do HOME Parties because seeing is believing! Make sure you have that SANTA and the Bonus Buys. I've said this before, but you have to believe me. When they see these, they will want them!
So, you want some extra $$, school's coming, you need to pay off those credit cards, you want to do some home improvement and oh my-the holidays are coming faster than you think. How would you like to have a debt free Christmas? You can with H&GP. Are you becoming a couch potato at night? Well, get up even 1 night a week and go out and have a Party.
I did a party last night and I drove home in the worst storm I have ever seen while driving. But you know what, it was SO WORTH it. The party is not closed yet, but so far it's at a whopping $1443! Do you realize what I just made with our FANTASTIC raise? I made over $570 in only a couple of hours. I know you won't have that high of a party all the time, but you do not know that when you walk out that door to do a Party. DREAM BIG!
Put one foot in front of the other and GO FOR IT. You have to start with baby steps but baby steps can make you some money and you can have a fun, too.
And I've heard this from Sandi Pace and many other Designers. "You can make $$ or you can make excuses, but you can't make BOTH!"
