Home & Garden Party Designer since June 2001

My name is Brandy Solis, I am married to the most wonderful Man in the world, Josh! I also have two wonderful sons and a daughter. This is my HGP story!

I joined Home Garden Party in June of 2001. I first discovered Home and Garden Party when a neighbor of mine brought over a catalog and said she was having a party. I looked through it a few times and thought I had seen it before, but the pottery was completely new to me- and completely awesome. I immediately said "Yes, I will go to your show". Well the party wasn't but 15 minuets in and I started thinking, and I asked the Designer about her business. At this point I had never thought about getting into the party plan business before. I also had never heard of Home and Garden Party before that night. When my soon to be upline told me about the 40% commission AND no inventory, I was sold!!

One concern I did have was that I had never owned my own business before. The thought of getting up in front of people to speak was a little scary, and what about keeping track of things? My sponsor was so helpful- she taught me how to play the auction, which turned out to be a lot of fun- and the minimum paperwork was a breeze. Everyone I met turned out to be so kind and willing to help.

I talked it over with my husband. Then I asked my soon to be upline a few more questions, and signed up. I got my kit and I had my first show with Julie about 3 weeks later. With 5 other shows booked in the following 2-3 weeks, my business got off to a great start. I was just planning on doing it for a few months for some extra money, but what I found out is that HGP is Ground Floor right now, which means 'you are at the right place at the right time'. The speed at which my business has grown is beyond my belief. And after 7 years of doing parties, I am still in awe of the number of people who have NOT heard of this incredible company! It excites me every time I get to show these products to people for the first time- how many other people can say that? I quickly found out what a huge market there is for this!

This has turned out to be a wonderful opportunity... for me- I have become more confident with my speaking abilities, and as a person in general; for my family- we have been able to enjoy things like paying off bills and a new vehicle; for my kids- they enjoy (as well as I do) more time with mom. I do not have to work in order to pay someone else to raise my kids in daycare! All thanks to God and HGP "Helping God's People"!
